Question 3 - What have you learned from your audience feedback?
From my audience feedback I have learned that it is a vital part of research when creating a successful promotional package. It allowed me to see whether the promotional package I have created meets the need of my intended audience. I have collected a lot of audience feedback to ensure that I have a clear understanding of their views. I also asked my audience if they wanted to see unconventional aspects if my promotional package and a vast majority agreed to certain aspects. I created and question with questions that would get different views about different parts of the promotional package to people in the age range of 15 - 20 as this is my target audience. The question that had the most voted answers were what I used for the actual media products. I also put my media products on a social networking media platform “Facebook” as most of the people I have as friends on I are of the intended age range and it would also get it noticed on another viral media platform. Facebook is what teens are generally checking on a daily basis therefore it is easy access and enable people to leave comments of their opinions. This is useful as there is no pressure on the audience they jut leave a comment if they feel to and are in control of what they comment. This process has shown me audience feedback is one of the most vital aspects in creating a cross media platform promotional package as it is primary raeseach on what your intended target audience want to see. Overall I had majority of positive audience feedback which shows me that I listened to what my target audience wanted and made sure to include those aspects.

Image manipulation

This transformation between these images has been done through Photoshop manipulation. Firstly I decreased the skin colour and its brightness with the sponge tool. I also created a new layer and then selected a grayish colour to colour over the skin and then using the blending options and weakened the opacity; this created a very dull skin tone. I then made the skin darker with the burn tool, I did this more in certain areas such as under the eye and the cheekbones. Then made the Sclera in her eyes brighter with the dodge tool and drew in thin red veins all over that part. I also added in what looks like scars and cuts using the dodge tool to make a like then burning around it carefully to make it look realistic. I also burned the whole image to give a more strong darker black. I then cut the images out and added in dark backgrounds, the first one being a plain background and the second one being a dark forest. I then added a glow around the main image to make it stand out because a lot of black is used.

Proposal of ideas

The film proposal we as a group decided would be physiological thriller that is based on a teenage girl who has an evil split personality. The narrative structure would be non-linear as it would show flashbacks from the past in attempt to explain what had triggered off her split personality. The settings that we decided to use are her house, mainly her bedroom to give a more personal ambience and also conventional places such as a graveyard and an isolated park. The type of sounds we will be using will be diegetic as they will be mainly heavy breathing and screams; this is conventional in horror films. The non diegetic sounds that will be used will be slow, eerie music that will enhance the tense atmospheres we will create throughout. We will be filming this conventionally using a tripod and sometime hand held when doing certain canted angles and jolted shots. Our intended target audience is teenagers of both genders this is because the age certificate will be 15 and they will be the people that will relate to the main characters age group.
